Homeless Prevention Co-ordinator
A collaboration of Exeter, Teignbridge, East Devon and Mid Devon Local Authorities have been awarded one of the Department for Communities and Local Government’s network of Homelessness Prevention Trailblazer areas, to go further and faster with reform and support more people to avoid a homelessness crisis in the first place.
An exciting new initiative will launch in the coming weeks to deliver a ‘Homeless Prevention Champion’ service, and we are seeking to recruit to a new role – Homeless Prevention Coordinator.  This post is funded for 2 years initially, and will work with senior staff from CHA and Julian House to deliver a wide ranging service, which seeks to:

1. Bring voluntary sector agencies together to develop a shared approach
2. Identify best (homeless prevention) practise and ‘champions’ across the voluntary sector
3. Generate and promote the service through social media & a dedicated website
4. Identify & respond to (related) training needs across the voluntary sector
5. Promote & deliver an ‘outcomes pot’; enabling voluntary sector agencies to claim resources for homeless prevention activity
6. Involve and engage the wider community in homeless prevention

You are:
• Enthusiastic and passionate about homelessness; its causes and prevention
• Able to develop & maintain relationships with a wide range of people and agencies
• Self-motivated, organised and confident
• A skilled communicator and facilitator
• Innovative & resourceful
