The closing date for both posts is 27th February at midday.  Interviews will be held on the 2nd March (Benefit & Debt Advisor) and 3rd March (Support Worker). Shortlisted candidates will be contacted on 27th February with an invitation to attend an interview.

Young people either approach us directly, or via referral agencies and partners when they find themselves homeless, or at risk of homelessness. Benefit & debt issues often exacerbate their situation, and many young people do not have the experience and knowledge to manage their personal finances effectively.

In addition to providing emergency accommodation (Nightstop Devon), we are about to launch a new project which will support young people with their financial capability. This new project, What Works 4 You, aims to improve the skills, confidence and attitudes that young people have around money, budgeting and financial products. This new post will help us to:

Promote and establish a new financial capability project;
Offer financial advice and guidance to young people;
Better understand the issues that contribute towards homelessness.
The Support Worker post will also be part of the Nightstop Devon team, assisting with the provision and administration of emergency accommodation to young people in the homes of volunteers.
